Build Your List

If you’re in any kind of home based business, such as Avon, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Tupperware, Herbalife, Organo Gold, Kyani, ACN, Legal Shield, World Ventures or any of the over 3000 direct selling companies you were probably told to build your list when you started.

Warm market list

Initially, it’s all about writing down a list of what is called the “warm market”, these are people you already know and have a relationship with, your friends and family. Depending on your leaders, you may be told you need a list of 50, 100, 200 or even 2000 if you want to succeed. Eric Worre talks about this in his 7 Steps to becoming a Network Marketing Professional book as well as his many online training videos. We all get tired of bugging our friends and family, but just remember they are really just your practice run – if you get past that list and you are still going, you have a huge chance of success, so keep it up.

Lukewarm market list

Next, it is suggested that most successful Network Marketers made their fortune from the “cold market” or rather “lukewarm market”, those are people you meet out in public that you never knew until then. Again, Eric Worre says you need to build you list continuously and he suggests adding 2 new names a day to your list which would not be such a big deal but would end up giving you a list of 600 people per year! Pretty good, right?

Cold market list

Recently, I discovered the true “cold market” which is buying leads online from lead generation companies. These companies put add out on the internet and sell the names and numbers of people who give their information online. This is a great way to build your list if you don’t want to go out in the cold market to turn those strangers into “lukewarm leads” and the other thing is you need money to buy the leads. However, Dani Johnson highly recommends this method and she has great script books on how to contact these leads and make a sale.

Attraction marketing list

The final method is online attraction marketing through branding.
