Get up early, like 5am
I was out with my friend Yared and we started talking about how we were getting up at 5am and it made me realize that to get up early is an important success tip.
When you get up early, like 1 or 2 hours earlier than most, you give yourself a head-start over everyone who sleeps in. Don’t get me wrong, I love sleeping in because I hate getting up, but within 2-5 minutes I’m glad I did and my day goes so much better.
Why get up early?
You can do things like plan your day, check emails, work on a side project or just be there for your spouse. The rest of the day is hugely impacted too because you feel better about yourself and about your future.
There’s also a brain chemistry aspect to the choice to get up early. Taking an extra 1 hour in the morning to plan out your day, even if it’s just in your head has 10x more impact than getting to bed 1 hour later, it’s just the way humans are wired.
